Features:

Lavu POS makes it simple and efficient to take orders and process payments from customers.  The iPad gives wait staff ultimate mobility to move around the room as they serve, at the same time as sending orders directly to the kitchen from the screen. Customers can pay tableside, even including tips and signature on screen.

More than just a Point of Sale solution, you can also use Lavu to manage your business. Access customizable in-depth reports on your sales, which will help you understand everything from best sellers to staff productivity.

reports and analytics

Lavu has some great inventory features, letting staff stay on top of stock and supplies. Work on staff management by setting job roles, pay rates, time cards and shift work for your employees.

If you’re looking for a POS which has specific features for your field of service, you’ve come to the right place. Specific tools for almost every kind of restaurant and hospitality business make Lavu stand out from the crowd. Easily manage multiple bar tabs for clubs or pubs, or enjoy ‘Quick-Serve’ mode for a café with the need for a fast turnover of customers. Lavu Loyalty helps you reward loyal customers and keep track of their customer data on screen.

Ease of Use:

As Lavu is a cloud based solution, all of your data and analytics can be viewed anywhere you have an internet connection, including sales and inventory reports. The iPad solution itself is extremely intuitive and easy to use, and it involves very little time investment to learn the ropes. Beautifully designed for iPad, it mirrors many of the gestures any iPad user is familiar with.

Customer Support:

Perhaps because Lavu has under 10 employees, the customer support while helpful, is not extensive. There is a good sized knowledgebase with articles on many frequently asked topics such as hardware, extensions and using your control panel. You can also easily submit a support ticket 24/7 from the homepage or the support page of the website and there is a direct phone number to call if you have any questions. If you sign up for an Enterprise level plan you will have access to premium support and additional ways to get in touch if you’re experiencing any problems.

Pricing and Payment Processing:

Each terminal from Lavu will cost you $59 per month on a yearly contract. This gives you single location use for one business. You will have access to over 300 restaurant features, free updates and employee management functionality. You can also try the POS free of charge for a limited term.

The Enterprise plan gives you all the above features as well as customized regional reporting, a global menu push and enterprise level support. It is aimed at restaurants with a chain of businesses or franchises. Prices will vary depending on what you need for your business, but adding terminals to this plan is more cost effective at $20 per month.

Like many POS solutions, Lavu does not offer its own payment processing, so make sure to check the terms of whatever solution you integrate to make sure you are happy with rates and fees. Partnering with industry leading processing and hardware experts, you can choose equipment and merchant services which help you get the most out of your business.

Contract Terms:

If you would like to enjoy Lavu without the commitment of an annual contract, the monthly cost will raise to $69. Lavu is transparent about costs from the get-go, without any hidden charges. Hardware and payment processing are integrated separately, but a Lavu expert can advise you on everything you need to get started.

Bottom Line:

Aimed at businesses of all shapes and sizes in the hospitality and service industry, Lavu is a feature rich choice for iPad POS. Cloud based, you can access your data from anywhere, and whatever kind of restaurant you own you’ll find Lavu will give you something to help you stand out from the crowd.
